The landscapes engulf our hungry boy as he befriends local weirdoes, paws at the water, and confronts the creature in the woods telling him what to do. Co-writers/directors John Ledingham and JP Meldrum (who also stars in a fearless, mysterious performance) make the most of their $0 budget to conjure an idiosyncratic horror comedy atmosphere totally their delirious own. A studio movie could never reach these strange heights!
